You might be thinking “OMG, I can’t do this!” We have a simple quick fix for that mindset.
Get NAKED and then get AFRAID!
Okay, maybe not literally…. but we want you to get into the naked and afraid mindset. In the television show, Naked and Afraid, at the beginning of each episode, they introduce the
characters. When they introduce them, you can quite literally see the determination in their eyes. You can see that nothing is going to get in their way. When you are really in the game, you have the attitude of “I AM DOING THIS! It’s a challenge, and I’m the one to get it done.”
You might have several reasons to be afraid of being “naked,” or in this case, reaching out to business professionals on LinkedIn, but that is all part of the experience in order to land your dream job. When people find out how unique and exciting you are they are going to be so excited to meet you. Networking is about building relationships, so get out there and get to know them!
