Alright, folks! Now is the time to get your pen and paper. No, don’t worry, we’re not going to give you a pop quiz. Instead, we want you to write down what your core values are.

Self Reflection Time, Baby!

1What makes you happy every day?

As of now, it’s probably the weekend, your teacher canceling class, or no homework.

2What do you believe in?

If you’re preparing for a big test, then more than likely God, the universe, or a deity to help you ace it.

3Who do you want to serve and why are they important to you?

Think hard about this one (however, don’t try too hard as you don’t want to fry your brain). Besides, school is probably already giving you daily migraines as it is.

4What problems do you want to solve? And no, we’re not talking about algebraic equations. What we’re referring to are world issues that you’re passionate about and want to change.

5What have you liked about previous jobs? What have you disliked about previous jobs?

Were the employers nice to you? What about the employees? Did they serve you a decent meal other than pizza, if at all? These are important questions!

6What is your purpose? What drives you?

You must have thought about it. Being a college student or a recent grad is all about knowing who you want to be in the world.

Now, Rank them. Some values are more important than others! Self-reflection can seem deep but it’s important that you dive into yourself first before you can come out a winner!

The next episode is SUPER EXCITING! You get to dream and choose the companies you want to work for by first identifying their values and make sure they align with yours!
