Now it’s time for you to start choosing your dream company (or companies, if you’re an overachiever) so you can align your values with theirs.

Do you still have your pen and paper? When you do, write this down: G. O. O. G. L. E. com!

Always go to Google and do some research! As a college student or recent grad, you probably travel places. So let’s say, you want to get a job at Uber. Google it and see what pops up on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Website, Review places like Yelp, Facebook, Google reviews.

You can read and learn about your ideal company and find what they believe in and add to your list! If the company you’re looking at doesn’t have some of the key top priorities that you have, then they are a pass!

Since you’re on Google (and we’re talking about Google) then you may want a job there. If so, make sure your values align with theirs because they hire a lot of young folks. If you want to work with people around your same age this would be a perfect place for you. But if you find it hard to be productive in a higher energy environment then this place might not be right for you. This is all about finding the RIGHT company that works for YOU.

Down below, we will take you step-by-step on how to go to a website, find the values, mission statement, and other clues about what matters to a company. Unfortunately, not every site will have this info so you may need to dig around a bit, but have a great time while doing it! Think of this research as searching for a date through Tinder (just make sure you stay away from the creeps).
